Herbs & Botanical Ingredients:
Arnica (Arnica montana) - Helpful for chapped, dry skin. Should not be taken internally.
Blue Lotus Imparts a beautiful translucent blue/violet color to soaps, candles , lotions and butter whips. Blue Lotus / Sacred Blue Lotus is a relaxant , sedative , helps sooth tension, stress and anxiety. Mood enhancing additive blends well with m.speciosa for a balanced essence and effect .
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) A calmative which is used for nervousness, irritability, digestive disorders, and menstrual cramps.
Comfrey Root (Symphytum officinale) - Contains allantoin, which is used in a wide variety of cosmetics due to its ability to proliferate cells. Its properties include anti-inflammatory, astringent, demulcent and emollient. This is a healing and emollient herbal remedy which can be used to regenerate aging skin if used regularly..
Cramp Bark (Viburnum opulus) - Although not as well known as some herbs, this herb is quite effective as a muscle relaxant. As the name implies, it is also a very good remedy for menstrual cramps.
Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) - Contains natural anti-oxidants that are known to be free radical scavengers and has been used for centuries for enriching one's immune system and overall good health.
Horsetail Root or Shave Grass (Equisetum arvense) - This can be used for the hair, for the elimination of dandruff, and to stimulate hair growth. It can be strengthening to the hair, fingernails and broken bones due to its high silicic acid content. Can be poisonous if used internally in large amounts.
Jasmine flowers (Jasminum odoratissimum) - The aroma of Jasmine is made up of over 100 compounds. Its scent helps to promote relaxation.
Kratom (see also M.speciosa) - antioxidant , soothes discomfort and pain , anti-depressant qualities, soothes muscle aches , stress, anxiety and said to help with social anxiety , focus , clarity and communication. Helpful in various forms for color and exfolliation (see colors / grinds available on our dedicated pages. )
Lavender Flowers (Lavandula officinalis)- These aromatic flowers have analgesic and sedative properties, and are commonly used in cosmetics for their delightful scent.
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) - Because of its gentle properties and pleasant flavor, Lemon Balm removes surface tension from the body and is effective for nervous tension and depression.
Lemon Verbena (Aloysia triphylla) - The dried leaves have a gentle citrus flavor and contain sedative and antypyretic properties.
Marshmallow Root (Althea officinalis) - A very mucilaginous herb with a pleasant aroma, used for its softening and emollient properties. It is excellent for soothing inflammed tissue both internally and externally.
Mitragyna Speciosa (see kratom ) Similar to green tea, m.speciosa (Kratom) is an Antioxidant , soothes discomfort and pain , similar to coffee in it's stimulant properties , anti-depressant, enhances mood , focus and clarity, soothes muscle aches , stress, anxiety and said to help with social anxiety , focus , clarity and communication. ,( various strains for descriptions of each, see link at top left menu )
Passion Flower (Passiflora incarnata) - It's commonly used as a mild sedative, hypnotic, and anodyne. It's useful for treating insomnia and other various neurological disorders including anxiety and hypertension.
Very relaxing when combined in recipes with m.speciosa/kratom
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) - A stimulating and refreshing herb that has antiinflammatory, stomachic, nervine, antiseptic and anodyne properties.
Spearmint (Mentha viridus) - Known as an aid in digestion and an encourager of appetite. The oils in mint contain menthol which is used to ease headaches and neuralgic pains, while having an almost analgesic action.
Essential Oils & Extracts:
Basil (Ocimum basilicum) - Probably one of the best tonics for the nerves, possessing uplifting, clarifying, strengthening and restorative properties. It sharpens the senses yet calms hysterical states of mind.
Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) - Has sedative yet uplifting qualities, making it ideal for all states of anxiety and depression. Do not use before sunbathing because of its ability to cause photosensitivity of the skin.
Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) - Stimulating for the mind, aiding in concentration and strengthening the nerves. A grounding oil which also encourages change and instils positive thoughts and actions.
Cedarwood Atlas (Cedrus atlantica) - This calming and soothing oil is beneficial for all states of tension and anxiety, instilling feelings of peace. Avoid when pregnant. Do not use on babies and young children.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) - Cinnamon is warming to the body, has aphrodisiac properties, relaxes tight muscles, and lifts the mood. Cinnamon oil is very strong and is usually not recommened for the aromatherapy beginner (We use a very small amount in our formula).
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) - A euphoric-sedative oil indicated for overactive and panicky states of mind, inducing a sense of well-being and optimism, creating a padding between you and the external world. A tonic for the womb, clary sage balances the hormones and provides relief from menstrual cramps.
Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata) - This warming oil has aphrodisiac properties, improves mental clarity and memory, and lifts the mood. Considered strongly allergenic (We use a very small amount in our formula).
Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) - A comforting oil, useful for relieving anger, irritability and stress-related conditions.
Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) - Balancing for the nervous system, despelling anxiety and depression. Its excellent for menopause and PMS, balancing the hormones, reducing fluid retention and hot flushes and banishing tension.
Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) - Grapefruit has an uplifting effect on the mind and spirit. Helps to lift depression and induces euphoria.

Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) - Lavender is calming in small amounts, and is stimulating in large amounts. Helps to relax tight muscles, balance moods, promote restful sleep, and reduce tension and stress.
Lemon (Citrus limonum) - An excellent oil for stimulating a tired and exhausted mind, encouraging clear thinking and aiding concentration.
Marjoram (Origanum marjorana) - Marjoram has a warming and comforting effect on the emotions, easing grief, sadness and depression and relieving all states of anxiety.

Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) - Calming in small amounts, stimulating in large amounts. It also helps to relax tight muscles and relieve pain.
Patchouli (Pogostemon patchouli) - Popular in the 1960's possibly due to its ability to instil peace, calm and love while at the same time helping to clarify problems. It has grounding and balancing effects.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita) - An excellent oil for stimulating the mind, eliminating mental fatigue and encouraging concentration. In times of crisis, peppermint strengthens yet numbs the nerves. Do not use on babies and young children. Avoid using when breast feeding as it halts lactation.
Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis) - Activates and enlivens the brain, clearing the head and reducing mental fatigue. May help memory loss. Do not use extensively in the first stages of pregnancy (although side effects are unlikely).
Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) - A gorgeous heady aroma comes from this pod filled with tiny seeds. Vanilla comes from a type of orchid that originates in the tropics. We use 100% real Vanilla that has been extracted with Organic Grape Alcohol.
Vetivert (Vetiveria zizanoides) - Vetivert is referred to as the 'oil of tranquility' in India and Sri Lanka. It has a profoundly sedative effect on the nervous system and may be useful for those who are attempting to come off tranquillizers. It is also helpful in relieving mental exhaustion and insomnia.
Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) - This oil is deeply relaxing, releasing anxiety and tension, anger and fear. It uplifts depression and creates a sense of euphoria.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis ) - Ours comes from Arizona. This beautiful golden wax is quite close to sebum and works wonderfully with skin. It is reputed for its very long shelf life. Jojoba also mixes well with esential oils.
Rose-infused Jojoba (Rosa damascena & Simmondsia chinensis) - The exquisite, luxurious aroma of Rose has a profound effect on the emotions, alleviating grief, jealousy, resentment, stress and tension. It makes a woman feel feminine and positive. It also has aphrodisiac properties, and encourages feelings of love and compassion.
Bali Sea Salt - For the people of Bali, the Sea is considered revered and sacred water. It is very significant to Balinese ceremonies and purification rituals. Many believe that the ocean water, under the full moon, is the most powerfully charged water. The sacred sea is believed to have the power to both purify and sanctify. Our Bali sea salt crystals are produced with the ancient methods. These methods can only be done during the dry months, as the warmth of the sun is the final drying process. They are grey in color, and mineral-rich.

Grey Sea Salt - This is a certified organic bath salt which is harvested by hand from the island of Noirmoutier near Brittany, France.
